Sopris is led by Chris Chapman, an experienced finance professional of over 20 years. Chris has worked across many sectors, technologies, cultural and geographic boundaries and has a genuine thirst for understanding and helping small businesses. He has significant experience of small and large, buying and selling, investing and divesting, growing and contracting, insourcing and outsourcing in everything from startups to global corporations.
Chris has always been used to managing teams and relationships in remote locations and has worked at various times with businesses in London, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Norwich; in many European cities and numerous other worldwide locations.
Chris has worked at Board or executive level across many sectors but is most at home working with small, entrepreneurial ventures where he can make the biggest difference. The rest of the Sopris team share his desire to make a tangible difference to the companies they work with and continually add value.
Each of the team comes from a different background and brings different experiences to the group, but all have strong financial core skills coupled with sound commercial experience gained from working with several different companies.
